There are some good guys issuing credit cards out there, apparently. I got a notice from Nordstrom that all variable interest rate credit cards would now be changed to fixed rate cards. Good move! They said my card would now carry a fixed rate of 10.9%. OK, I don’t use it much but that sounds fair to me. Then my wife got her notice, same as mine except for the interest rate – 22.9%. She had to make a phone call to get the lower rate.

Moral of the story: Even the good guys have evil computers. Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and ask for what you want.
