There’s been a lot of talk over the last few years from young people who doubt that their educational efforts were worth it when they go out to earn a living. As a result of some data collection by the federal government, we have a picture that sets the record straight. Here is a chart showing USA workers over age 25 along with their median earnings in 2014 and the level of education they completed before entering the workplace.
It couldn’t be much clearer (chart resolution aside) that those with more education (top to bottom of chart) experience lower unemployment (left side in red bars) and higher median earnings (right side in green bars). So lets see, higher education, lower unemployment, higher earnings. You might want to share this with your kids who think they’re wasting their time in school. I’m just sayin’…
